Churches are Apostate - Not Doing the Word of God -3-09-19, 06:46 PM
The following verses record the the Lord Jesus commanding His disciples to do good works. However, today's churches are not doing them - that's apostacy.
Matthew 10:8 New American Standard 1977
“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons; freely you received, freely give.

The following verse records the the Lord Jesus defining who believes in Him, and stating a way to execute believing. However, today's churches have no such believers doing this - that's apostacy.
John 14:12-14 New American Standard 1977
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

The following verse records the the Lord Jesus stating the good works that He had been doing. However, today's churches are not doing these good works - that's apostacy.
Matthew 11:4-6 New American Standard 1977
4 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the [e]gospel preached to them. 6 And blessed is he [f]who does not [g]take offense at Me.”

Churches are not even making disciples to do as they are commanded to do. This is apostacy - a falling away - an abandonment of the faith.
Matthew 28:19 New American Standard 1977
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

And, this is not all the churches are not doing, as is written in the New Testament for churches to do.
